This is a pre-launch DRAFT for review. It will be finalized — including the legal entity name and the final product name (which may become EffortlessAuthor or EasyEnochian) — before public launch.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site or join the early-access program for EffortlessAuthor (the “KDP Authoring Studio”), how we use it, and the choices you have. EffortlessAuthor is a file-first authoring studio: your manuscripts are stored as real Markdown files in transparent project folders that live with you, not as content we hold on your behalf.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to visitors of our marketing website and to people who sign up for early access. It describes our practices as a product and service; it does not cover third-party websites we may link to.

Information we collect

We aim to collect as little as is practical for a pre-launch product. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Early-access signup details. When you request early access, we collect the name and email address you provide so we can contact you about availability and updates.
  • Site analytics. We may collect basic, aggregated usage information about how the site is used — such as pages viewed, approximate region, referring source, browser type, and device category — to understand interest and improve the site.
  • Support correspondence. If you email us or otherwise reach out, we keep the messages and contact details you share so we can respond and follow up.

What we generally do not hold

Because EffortlessAuthor is file-first, your manuscript content — your chapters, metadata, exported files, and version history — lives primarily in your own project files. We are not designed to be a repository of your book content during early access, and we do not sell personal information.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Operate the early-access program and let you know when access is available.
  • Send you product updates, onboarding information, and relevant announcements.
  • Respond to your questions and provide support.
  • Understand site usage and improve our content, messaging, and the product.
  • Protect against misuse, fraud, and security issues, and meet legal obligations.

Where data-protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on the following:

  • Your consent — for example, when you sign up for early-access emails. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Our legitimate interests — such as understanding aggregate site usage, keeping the site secure, and improving our product, balanced against your privacy.
  • Performing a request you made — such as replying to a support message you sent us.
  • Legal obligations — when we must keep or disclose information to comply with applicable law.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Early-access contact details are kept while the program is active and until you ask us to remove them or unsubscribe. Support correspondence is kept for a reasonable period to maintain context. Analytics data is generally retained in aggregated or limited form. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Third-party processors

We use a small number of reputable service providers to operate the site and program — for example, an email/newsletter provider to manage signups and send updates, and an analytics provider to measure site usage. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and security practices. We will name our key processors before public launch.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent and unsubscribe from emails at any time.

Children’s privacy

EffortlessAuthor and this site are intended for adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We operate online, and the providers we use may process information in countries other than your own. Where information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with this policy and applicable law. We will document the relevant safeguards before public launch.

Changes to this policy

This is a pre-launch draft and will be revised before launch and from time to time afterward. When we make material changes, we will update the “updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify early-access subscribers.
