Terms of Service

This is a pre-launch DRAFT for review. It will be finalized — including the legal entity name, governing law, and the final product name (which may become EffortlessAuthor or EasyEnochian) — before public launch.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of EffortlessAuthor (the “KDP Authoring Studio”) and this website during our early-access period. Please read them carefully. They describe what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing this site, joining the early-access program, or using EffortlessAuthor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Because we are in early access, these Terms may change as the product develops.

Description of the early-access service

EffortlessAuthor is a file-first authoring studio for creating Kindle/KDP-ready books. It stores manuscripts as real Markdown files in transparent project folders and provides an editor, KDP-aware validation, metadata preparation, EPUB export, version history, and generated narrated audio. During early access, features may be incomplete, may change, or may be unavailable, and the service is provided for evaluation and feedback.

Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your location, or otherwise legally able to enter into a binding agreement, to use the service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Acceptable use

You agree to use EffortlessAuthor responsibly. In particular, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Create, store, or distribute content that is illegal or that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
• Misuse the early-access program, including sharing access in ways that are not permitted.

You are responsible for your content and your submissions. You own your manuscripts, and you are solely responsible for the content you create, its legality, and any submissions you make to Amazon KDP or other platforms — including meeting their guidelines and complying with their terms.

Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the books and manuscripts you create. We do not claim ownership of your content. EffortlessAuthor — including the software, website, design, branding, and documentation — remains the property of its owner and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our software beyond the limited right to use it as offered during early access.

No warranties — “as is”

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” especially during early access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.

KDP-aware, not KDP-guaranteed

EffortlessAuthor provides KDP-aware validation and prepares KDP-oriented exports (such as EPUB files and metadata) to help you get ready for publishing. However, Amazon KDP is an independent platform with its own evolving rules and review processes. We do not guarantee that any file, export, or submission will be accepted or approved by Amazon KDP, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with KDP’s current requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. Because the service is offered without charge during early access, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service will be limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the service.

Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any feature at any time, particularly during early access. We may also update these Terms; when we do, we will revise the “updated” date above. You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service. You should keep your own copies of your project files, since they live with you.

Governing law

These Terms will be governed by the laws of [to be determined before launch], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The applicable jurisdiction for disputes will be confirmed in the final, pre-launch version of these Terms.
